In order for us to ensure a smooth process, please ensure you have all the necessary information to hand. The more prepared you are, the better!

Required documents

Most lenders will ask for all the below information, but some lenders may vary in their requirements.

  • Bank statements for the last three months
  • Three months’ wage slips
  • Information about guaranteed overtime, commissions, or bonuses
  • If you’re self-employed, proof of account for the last three years
  • Information on existing loans, credit card commitments, or existing mortgages

  • Documents proving existing savings, pensions, endowments, life insurance, or other healthcare policies
  • Proof of address - a utility bill dated within the last three months is a good example
  • P60 form (if available)

Following your appointment, we’ll also need proof of your identity, such as a passport or drivers licence. In order to get a mortgage in principle, we’ll need the following on file:

  • Identification
  • Address
  • Proof of income

Recommended: it can be beneficial to have your credit report available. They’re often free online.

Looking for a protection appointment?

A protection review, whether you’re getting a new policy or changing an existing one, will take around an hour. Before you speak with us, make sure you have:

  • Details of employer benefits, such as death in service and sick pay
