1. Cancel TV contracts

There's a good change you may have TV subscriptions going unused. Many of us let these services drain our finances month by month, even after the free 7 day trial has lapsed! If there are any areas you can cut back on, think about what and where you watch. 

If there's a new programme you want to see, you can always sign up for streaming services for a month only. Just remember to cancel it once you've watched what you want to watch!

2. Pause your gym membership

Did you know that you may freeze the majority of gym subscriptions if you wish to take a break or go on vacation? While some may charge a modest admin fee, the savings are likely to justify it. It's worth asking about if you're still actively using the membership on a daily basis but won't need it for a month or two because it can make your money go a little further.

There are still many things you can do to keep active even if you're cancelling your membership to save money. Try to use items you already have in your home rather than shelling out on pricey equipment. YouTube offers some excellent home exercises.

3. Avoid the bigger brands

4. Stop travelling everywhere via car

Try meal planning as well, and avoid purchasing items that you won't be able to fully utilise before having to dispose of them whenever it's feasible. 

For instance, frozen fruit and vegetables are just as nutrient-dense as fresh ones (assuming there are no additives/preservatives). Although textures might vary, choosing frozen veggies will save you money if you frequently throw away food.

7. Produce your own veggies and herbs

There is nothing quite as satisfying as sitting down to a dinner that you have produced yourself! It's also wonderful to include the family, and it may be informative as well. Try out some seasonal fruit and vegetables, and enjoy the sunshine while doing it!

8. Reduce your energy costs

It's simple to continue with the same supplier and fail to recognise that there could be more affordable options available. Use a service or conduct your own research to discover whether switching energy suppliers might result in cost savings. Even little adjustments to your house might help you save money on energy each month.

9. Upcycle your clothes

Rekindle your affection for old garments that you've forgotten about rather than purchasing new ones. Explore the back of your wardrobe and try out some fresh looks. Try vibrant colours, contrasting patterns, and other unique ideas! Try second-hand shops if you need new clothing for something.

10. Compare prices for utilities

Make sure you frequently evaluate your utility service suppliers. Utilise comparison websites to compare prices and see if there are any opportunities to save money on necessary home expenditures like gas, electricity, or internet. 

Keep in mind that even small monthly savings can add up over a year and have an impact. Financial stress can be reduced by switching to more economical solutions and practising wise saving habits.
